In cooperation with NORWEP (Norwegian Energy Partners) and Innovation Norway, we are delighted to invite you to a Hackathon for the Danish and Norwegian offshore wind industry in Aarhus, Denmark.

The Hackathon is an innovation workshop dedicated to offshore wind professionals (incl. design, manufacturing, tech experts, service companies, technical and knowledge institutions) to work with some of the major challenges presented by some of the largest companies in the industry.

You will get an unique opportunity to network, and discuss technology development challenges with three major players from the offshore wind industry; Vattenfall, Equinor and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in a vibrant and innovative workshop facilitated by experienced professionals. Together with other companies, it is your chance to develop new solutions to the offshore industry.

This Hackathon will also set focus on collaboration opportunities and synergies between Danish and Norwegian companies for supporting development of the global offshore wind industry.

DAY 2: The Hackathon

Date: Wednesday 8th May, 2019

Venue: Comwell Hotel, Værkmestergade 2, 8000 Aarhus, Denmark

Innovation workshop addressing technology development challenges with three major players from the offshore wind industry.

The offshore wind market is in rapid development and expanding into a truly global business. Higher towers, heavier turbines, deeper waters and harsher environment will require more advanced solutions and analysis. To thoroughly address these issues will require deep insight in both the design, manufacturing, towers and foundations and O&M of offshore wind parks. Further, it requires the same deep insight in advanced hydrodynamic analysis, structural analysis, experience from marine operation, logistics, rules related to marine operations and risk management.

How can the supply chain respond to some of the main challenges seen by VattenfallEquinor and Siemens Gamesa? Vattenfall, Equinor and Siemens Gamesa will present their main challenges in the offshore wind industry today. This Hachkaton will address challenges such as:

•        Access to nacelle without door in towers. Platform free foundations

•        New slip joint solution; smart connection method, correcting verticality & smart method if pile gripper doesn’t work

•        How to get rid of project specific certification of foundations

•        Fast docking of SOV

•        Modularized fabrication of jackets

•        Instrumentation & Digital twin of foundations to optimize design

•        Installation vessel of the future, what speech is required for the vessel

•        Mobile and efficient cable testing equipment when moving from 33kv to 66kv array cable
